1956 Olds Ambassador F Mellophone. This is a great playing concert style mellophone from the early Fullerton years. Olds made some great instruments during this time period. This mellophone had one loose solder joint that has just been professionally repaired. Otherwise valves and slides are all in perfect working order with very good valve compression.  Does not come with a mouthpiece, but depending on the type of tone you want there are various options for a mouthpiece -- either a deeper richer sound (classic type mellophone mouthpiece), or a brighter sound (newer marching mellophone mouthpiece). It does not come with a case.
These old-style mellophones are a lot of fun to play! If it's so much fun, then why am I selling it? Well, I have two of these Olds Ambassador mellophones and both play very similar, but the other one is a couple years earlier. One had to go!
